At the opening of her photography show, Marion, the high-strung heroine of “2 Days in New York,” has an awkward encounter with a critic. Frustrated by his poker face and his noncommittal responses, and stressed out by everything else going on in her life (about which more shortly), Marion launches into an unhinged, obscene tirade at the poor man. It's clear that director Scalpello and writer Van Carter were trying to do something unusual here, but those standard prison movies cliches prove that they're just too difficult to resist. And this leaves the film's revenge plot feeling rather uninteresting.

Tommy (Cole) is a young thug sent to prison for two years after punching a couple of cops. Once inside, he locks his eye on top goon Jake (Frank), and there's more than a hint of personal vendetta about it. Sure enough, in flashback we see a series of events during the summer 2011 London riots and some nastiness involving Tommy's pregnant parole-officer girlfriend Elise (Nixon). But now that he's inside, who can Tommy trust? His cellmate (Kirby)? A peace-loving Muslim (Oba)? Certainly not the dope-smoking guard (Dooley).

Over the course of the film, we see Tommy's journey from nice guy to tightly wound punk, complete with a Rocky-style montage as he puts some muscle tone on his skinny frame. But as he goes on his ill-planned vigilante spree, it's difficult to have much sympathy for him because Cole plays him as a hothead on a mission, lashing out violently at anyone who comes hear him. Even though we know that there's a more thoughtful, caring person inside, Tommy is determined to destroy his life.

If the filmmakers are trying to say that young-offenders prisons strip the humanity from their inmates, they have mangled the message badly, because Tommy turned mean before he gets there. More interestingly, the film notes that everyone has a choice about how they are going to respond to violence, as demonstrated by the Muslim characters whose lives have far more hope than the re-incarcerated monsters around them.

Schmidt, having discovered Erskine's location, dispatches an assassin to kill him. Aalaap has got a specific significance as it portrays the youth in the background of Chhattisgarh. It has been produced and directed by the people of Chhattisgarh’s origin and major part of the shooting has been done in the Chhattisgarh state itself .The one line plot of the film is about the four boys taking to music in order to bring about peace and order. Frankly, at the outset, it appears that filmmaker Manish Manikpuri does have a potent plot at hand. The idea of changing the outlook of many extremists through rock band shows could've made for an interesting watch as never before has a theme such as this been dealt with in films. However, it's the narrative and execution of it all that ruins the novelty. The idea of just four people carrying along their jing-bang to bring a change appears too far-fetched.

In Brazil, various exotic birds are smuggled out of the country. In Moose Lake, Minnesota, a crate with a male blue macaw hatchling falls out of a truck and is found by Linda Gunderson, who names him Blu. Fifteen years later, Blu is unable to fly and is ridiculed by theCanada Geese that frequent the outside of Linda's bookstore.

One day, ornithologist Túlio Monteiro invites Blu and Linda to Rio de Janeiro on the condition that Blu, who is the last male of his species, mate with a female macaw. Linda accepts and they fly to Rio, where Blu meets a Red-crested Cardinal named Pedro and hisYellow Canary friend Nico. At Túlio's aviary, Blu falls in love with Jewel, a fiercely independent blue macaw longing to flee into the wilderness. The macaws are captured by Fernando, an impoverished orphan boy, and a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo named Nigel, both of whom work for a group of smugglers led by Marcel. Filming for Ek Tha Tiger began on 10 August 2011. Shooting locations have reportedly included 10 countries, including Ireland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Cuba, Egypt, Iraq, Russia and India. The first schedule was carried out in the Trinity College of Dublin. The lead actors shot in the get-up of students and the college was chosen as an alternative to the "usual" educational institutions. The second schedule took place in Istanbul, as insiders of the film considered it a "perfect backdrop" for the action sequences. Salman did a commercial for Cuban Tourism with a local team while shooting a major portion of the film in Havana, the capital of Cuba. The same sets used in the film were featured in the ad. After shooting in Cuba, a schedule was opened up in Mumbai.

The stunt directors of The Bourne Identity were contracted for the stunt sequences of Ek Tha Tiger. Katrina Kaif performed her own stunts in the film, describing them as "exciting, challenging and electrifying". This is one of the first action films in her career. She had to simultaneously switch between her two films and resumed her filming for Ek Tha Tiger on 27 March 2012.
